Dashing Digits Nail Salon

Dashing Digits started in 2015 as a mobile nail business. It later opened a salon in Des Moines to meet demand for its nail services, and the salon now operates from Suite 100 on Marine View Drive South.

The salon introduced its own nail lacquer label, DD Lacquer, in October 2017. According to the salon, its polishes are 7-free, vegan, cruelty free and manufactured in the United States. The team collectively has 30 years of experience working in nails.

Natural manicures and pedicures can be finished with nail art or ombre, and the salon offers a detailed nail art machine service that it describes as the only one in the area. It does not offer acrylic services. The salon describes its experience as upscale at an affordable price, and states a mission of providing a memorable visit built on integrity and deep knowledge of the profession.

Appointments are made by phone or through the online booking page, not by email or Yelp, and groups are asked to call ahead. Cancellations need at least three hours of notice, and appointments have a 15-minute grace period. Clients are asked to step outside for phone calls and avoid phones during their service, and children are only welcome when they have their own appointment.

The salon describes its nail services as healthy, clean and safe, follows State Board of Cosmetology cleanliness and sanitation rules, and says its products are tested by staff and management before they are used in services.
