Dani Makes Me Pretty

Dani Makes Me Pretty is a private studio at 688 Hague Avenue, Studio 25, in the Cathedral Hill neighborhood of St. Paul, inside Sola Salons. The owner opened the studio in 2013 after several years of renting chairs elsewhere in the city. Each client has the space to themselves, and the suite sits among other independent businesses, including barbers, estheticians, massage therapists and hair stylists who each run their own business. Dale and Selby are close by, and Mississippi Market and Primp Boutique are nearby.

Services are by appointment only and priced by the hour, with each service customized to the client. The studio does not double book. Clients are asked to arrive five to ten minutes early. Parking is a small lot, and clients may need to walk a block, so it helps to leave extra time. Payment is taken through Square, including all credit cards. A Premium Exclusive Fee applies to requests such as early-morning or last-minute appointments, and those are arranged through the chat box on the site.

While color processes, clients get private quiet time, and Wi-Fi is available during that time. Fizzy water, Diet Coke, coffee and tea are served; clients who want water are asked to bring their own bottle. Good music plays in the studio, and the walls are decorated with art and plants.

Hours are Tuesday and Thursday 12 to 8, Wednesday and Friday 10 to 6, and Saturday 9 to 2. No hours are listed for Sunday or Monday. Questions can be sent through the chat box, and responses can take up to 24 hours Tuesday through Saturday.
