The studio says its aim is a space where curls can be worn freely, cared for and understood. Guests also get access to a digital client lounge with a styling guide, including tips and videos for styling at home.
Booking begins with client forms, which must be completed within 24 hours of the appointment request, along with a valid card on file and a $50 non-refundable deposit that secures the time. A waitlist is kept, and paying the deposit is the only way to guarantee an appointment. Salon hours are Tuesday to Friday, 10am to 4pm. Clients can park in the reserved Metropolis lot, where validation is available; take the South Elevator to floor 1. The upper levels of the Texas Neurology garage are an alternative.
The studio uses Innersense Organic Beauty exclusively in the salon and describes its products as eco-friendly, cruelty-free, plant based and vegan. Products bought at the studio must be picked up in person, as shipping is not offered. Costume-style work is also available, including costume pickup at no charge and airbrush makeup, and an SFX look is offered by inquiry only in limited quantity. On-location services are offered within Dallas-Fort Worth and further afield by email inquiry, with travel fees possible. Traditional barbering such as clipper fades is not offered; the studio recommends barbers it works with.
The studio centers on curl education, so each visit includes hair care teaching that helps guests style their curls at home.
