A visit starts with booking, and each child needs their own appointment when booking online. Services are by appointment with walk-ins when available, and clients on a full schedule can text to join the cancellation list. Clients who run late should call with a new arrival time, and the salon does its best to accommodate them. Hours run Tuesday through Sunday, with the salon closed on Mondays. Every service comes with a balloon, a prize and a lollipop, and finishing products are included. Workstations and equipment are disinfected after each service, and stylists wash their hands between clients.

Haircuts are grouped by age: toddlers (4 and under), big kids (5 to 12) and teens (13 and up). Each age group can get a classic clipper fade, a short cut done with scissors, or a medium or long cut. First haircuts come with a certificate and a lock of hair kept as a keepsake. Children with severe tangles or very thick or detailed styles may bring extra charges, and a detangling service is available as an add-on.

The salon has two private rooms. The Quiet Room is designed for children with sensory disorders or anxiety, with calming colors, a television, a tablet and tactile toys, and it offers a 20-minute or 40-minute appointment. The Glam Room is stocked with hair glitter, glitter tattoos and temporary hair color, and its styling chair is smaller for children ages 4 to 8. The salon also partners with a Michigan nonprofit that makes free hair pieces for children, and accepts hair donations of at least 8 inches for it.

The salon focuses on young clients, using gentle, kid-focused products and keeping hygiene routines strict between every service.
