A newer Danvers location sits in a single-story building beside parks and walking trails, just outside downtown Danvers and about half an hour north of Boston, and is open by appointment only. Cut-Splice was founded in June 2014 in Charlestown by Grant. The Charlestown studio is in the Navy Yard, a residential area with views of Boston Harbor, and is open Monday through Saturday with Sunday closed. A newer Danvers location sits in a single-story building beside parks and walking trails, just outside downtown Danvers and about half an hour north of Boston, and is open by appointment only. Across both locations the business employs about a dozen hairstylists and support staff.

Visits begin with a free consultation for every client. Stylists are tiered from 1 to 5, and prices differ by tier as shown in the online booking system. Listed prices are starting prices, and a $5 eco disposal fee applies to each visit. A credit card is required to book online or by phone, and gratuity is taken in cash or by personal check because card tipping is not available.

Color services do not include a blow-dry or haircut, so clients either book the combined service online or ask for a finish when they call. Treatments also exclude a blow-dry, and bang trims and clean-ups are booked by phone with the front desk. The salon no longer offers keratin or similar treatments. Children are not serviced without prior approval and there is no children's price, and pets other than service animals are not permitted in the salon.

Cancellations or reschedules need at least 24 hours' notice to avoid a charge. Within 24 hours the charge is half of the booked services, and no-shows are charged the full amount. Clients who will be late should call, and an appointment may be changed at the stylist's discretion if a client is more than 15 minutes late.

Clients unhappy with their hair or service should call as soon as possible. Service adjustments are offered within 14 days of the appointment, and redo requests made more than two weeks afterward are not considered. No refunds are given on services or products, though retail products can be exchanged within 14 days of purchase.

According to the salon, the aim is to shape a standout visit for clients around Greater Boston.

The Charlestown studio overlooks Boston Harbor in the residential Navy Yard, and the Danvers location sits beside parks and walking trails.
