Curls & Swirls Studio

Curls & Swirls Studio was created to empower people through their hair and to welcome all textures, with a particular focus on curly, coily and wavy hair. Daija Butler owns the studio and works as its only stylist. The salon is open Wednesday and Thursday from 11 AM to 7 PM and Friday and Saturday from 9 AM to 3 PM, and is closed Monday, Tuesday and Sunday.

New clients book a custom curly or wavy cut, which begins with a consultation and then a dry cut, clarifying shampoo, deep conditioning and a wash-and-go style. Returning clients get a shorter version built around a shaping trim, hydrating shampoo, conditioning and a wash-and-go. Clients are asked to arrive with hair dry, fully detangled and in its natural state. Throughout services, the stylist explains styling methods, product choices and at-home care.

Color and longer appointments are planned in advance. For an all-over color, clients can text a photo of their current color and their goal before booking. New clients pay a deposit for cuts and color services, and Buy Now, Pay Later is available in person for bookings from $50 to $4,000, with approval needed before the appointment. Package credits apply automatically at checkout when booked on the services page.

Policies are clear about timing. There is a 15-minute grace period, and clients arriving later than that need to reschedule. Cancellations or changes need at least 48 hours' notice, late cancellations may be charged half the service, and no-shows without notice may be charged the full amount to rebook. Emergencies should be reported directly to Daija as soon as possible, and the salon says it will try to accommodate them.
