Curls de Luxe

Curls de Luxe was established in September 2020 in Naperville and works with curly hair. Its founder, Phailon Edmon, leads the salon and its curl coaching.

The salon's main hair service, The Divine Experience, starts at $275 and runs 135 minutes or more. It includes a consultation, a Curlvé Cut (formerly the beCurly Cut) and a charcoal kaolin detox pre-poo mask before the cut.

Curl coaching is held online over Zoom. Session 1 is for new clients and covers curl pattern, density, porosity, products and tools, with a $149 deposit required. Session 2 is for return clients after Session 1 and focuses on styling, also with a $149 deposit.

The Curls de Luxe Experience package costs $850, which the salon says saves $75. It is a two-visit package for new clients: the first visit is a beDivine Smoothing Treatment and the follow-up is The Divine Experience.

Clients are served from age 12 and up. Because space is limited, guests should not come along to appointments. Parents of teen clients may wait in the waiting areas.

Booking policies: cancellations and reschedules more than 36 hours ahead are made online through the booking confirmation link, and shorter-notice changes are made by emailing the salon. Deposits for new client services are nonrefundable and nontransferable if cancelled or rescheduled within 36 hours. Clients arriving more than 15 minutes late are asked to reschedule. Buy Now, Pay Later is available for in-person bookings from $50 to $4,000, with approval needed before the appointment. Gift cards come in $50, $75, $100, $200 or a custom amount and are final once sold.
