A visit starts with detangling, which is included as a standard 10 to 15 minutes. Extra detangling is charged by the hour with a one-hour minimum, and hair should be free of extensions, braids or old styles or that fee is added. Every service includes a shampoo, steam and conditioning treatment. Trims, haircuts and treatments are add-ons unless a booking says otherwise.

Booking is done through the Book button on the website, which shows live availability. No deposit is needed, but a card on file is required. That card may be charged for no-call no-shows and for cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice; otherwise payment is taken after the service. Regular appointments are not offered on Saturdays, which are kept for model days and curl classes, and the salon is closed on Fridays. Clients must be 13 or older.

First-time color clients need a color consultation at least one week before the color service, and the consultation fee is deducted from a color appointment booked at that consultation. Online booking for color gloss and root color retouch is for returning clients; anyone whose color was done elsewhere should email the salon before booking. Silk press timing depends on drying time, so clients with very dense or very long hair should allow extra time, and can email to adjust the appointment.
