Curate Salon and Spa describes itself as a hybrid salon. Independent artists work alongside commission-based artists, and the team includes stylists, colorists, estheticians and apprentices.

Hair services cover haircuts, men's cuts, color, balayage, blonding, customized curly cuts, styling, extensions, and hair and scalp treatments. A Brazilian Blowout smoothing treatment is also offered. On the skin side, the salon offers facials described as non-medical spa treatments tailored to each client's skin needs and goals, along with body treatments, bikini and Brazilian waxing, and a range of body and face waxing.

Clients are greeted at the front desk on arrival and offered a beverage. The salon aims for visits that feel relaxed, unrushed and stress-free. Retail products are available, and gift cards can be bought as eGift amounts of $50, $100, $150 or $200, or for a custom amount.

Apprentices train in a Registered Apprenticeship salon while enrolled in cosmetology school, under a written agreement. The apprenticeship takes about two years and combines school hours, grade standards and on-the-job training. Afterward, apprentices must pass State Board theory and practical exams to obtain a Cosmetology License. Independent artists are booked through their own artist pages, while appointments with Curate employees are requested by phone or email.
