Crowned by Jo Sunrise

Crowned by Jo is a braiding business with a studio in Davie and a second location in Sunrise. Clients from across Palm Beach, Broward and Dade counties book braiding styles for children, men and women.

The menu covers cornrows, platts and two strand twists for boys and men, cornrows, Fulani style braids and knotless braids for girls, and knotless braids with added hair, Senegalese twists and two strand twists for women. A model service is also listed on the booking page.

A scalp massage with a growth serum is offered as a separate treatment. The business also sells its own Natural Hair Growth Serum for $21.99.

Appointments must be booked at least 12 hours ahead. Clients can reschedule one time with 24 or more hours of notice. Every appointment has a 15-minute grace period, and a late fee may apply after that without notice. Arriving 20 or more minutes late can lead to cancellation with the deposit forfeited. Same-day appointments and walk-ins are checked by texting the business at 786-999-5884. No guests are allowed at appointments.

Concerns about a style must be raised within 48 hours. Redos are offered for the original style based on stylist availability. Partial refunds of 10% to 50% may be offered for minor issues, but no refund is issued if contact comes after 48 hours or if the style has been altered. Issues noticed after a client has left the premises are not the business's responsibility. Friday hours run 7 to 9 PM, Saturday 10 AM to 7 PM, and Sunday 11 AM to 3 PM.
