Crown Loc'd focuses on locs, from starting new locs and retwisting established ones to Boho Locs and Boho Two Strand installs. Pricing is set by loc count for most loc work, so the cost of a retwist or Boho install rises with the number of locs. Some prices depend on loc count, hair condition and length, and style add-ons for retwists with pedals are added in the shop.
The studio is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday evenings from 6 pm to 9 pm, and on Saturday and Sunday from 7 am to 6 pm. It is closed on Mondays and Thursdays. Appointments booked on a holiday carry a $50 service fee.
Clients can join Crown Rewards for $5 a month. Members receive a discount on services or a 2 oz bottle of hair oil each month. The discount does not apply to washes, crochet repair, loc starts, oil treatments, loose natural twists or style-only services.
Every loc service begins with a consultation, and the studio gives upkeep instructions after installation. Starter loc reconstruction is applied when locs need it because those instructions were not followed.
