Cross & Co. Salon opened in 2018 at 1145 14th Street, Suite 2113, in Plano, and concentrates on curly hair. The salon describes its mission as helping clients embrace their natural texture, and it aims to help guests feel confident through personalized cuts, color and styling. It also says it equips its team with skills they can use throughout their careers.

Cuts for curls, waves and coils are mostly done dry and tailored to the texture, using named methods including devacut, rezocut and cado cut. Clients are asked to arrive with their hair in its natural texture, with little to no product and no deep matting, and to bring a couple of inspiration photos. Service times are estimates that depend on hair characteristics and the result requested, and prices vary and are listed on the Book tab.

One appointment option combines a detox or clarifying treatment, deep conditioning, a cut, curly styling of natural hair and curl coaching. Cuts can also be shaped to keep length while reshaping hair for clients growing it out, and the salon suggests a cut about every three months and advises not waiting longer than six. Services are offered to men, women, and children 2 years and older; children must be able to sit through the full appointment or the service is stopped and a fee applies.

Policies include a card kept on file to secure appointments, which must be present at checkout. Payment is by card or tap payment such as Apple Pay or Google Pay; cash is not accepted. Cut and style changes need 24 hours notice and color needs 48 hours. A late cancellation or reschedule incurs a 50% fee, a no-show is charged the full scheduled service, and arriving more than 10 minutes late may shorten the service or bring a 50% late fee. Hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00am to 5:00pm.
