Create & Color Salon

Create & Color Salon is run by a single stylist, Megan, who works from a salon suite in Marietta. Every appointment is one-on-one, so clients have her full attention from start to finish.

The salon's color work centers on softer, lived-in results rather than high-contrast looks. Color is planned around each client's natural color, and the aim is hair that stays easy to live with between visits.

Color is priced by the hour for labor, plus the cost of product, which is weighed using salon scale technology. Final prices depend on hair length and density, the complexity of the service, and the products used, so the listed prices are starting points and estimates.

The menu is organized around a set of named looks. The Refresh look is a gloss-type toner for shine and tone renewal without lightening. The Mini Lightening Service adds face-framing highlights to refreshed color. The Maintenance look is a partial lightening upkeep for clients who have already had the Full Look, which is a complete, customized color service covering all of the hair. A Big Transformation takes hair from dark to as light as possible in one visit for clients who have only had highlights, professional color, or no color at all. Color Correction reworks hair that has previous color into a new look.

The salon does not offer complete grey coverage, vivid colors, or bleach and toner services, but it does offer grey blending.

Booking is done through the online booking system, where clients can view, cancel or reschedule appointments. Phone calls for bookings are not answered, so questions and changes go by text or email. New color clients pay a non-refundable deposit of $50 or $100, depending on the appointment type, which is applied to the total. Cancellations need at least 24 hours' notice, and later cancellations are charged 50% of the scheduled cost. Clients arriving more than 15 minutes late may lose the appointment and be charged a cancellation fee, so texting ahead for short delays is requested. Small adjustments for reasonable requests are made within two weeks of the appointment.

New clients complete a consultation form after booking; it is separate from the appointment request. The salon also runs a referral program in which both the referrer and the new client receive $20 off a service once the referral is reported.

Each client is seen one-on-one by the salon's sole stylist, with color chosen to suit the client's natural shade and the way they want to wear their hair.
