The space is a light, contemporary room with high windows, a vaulted ceiling and gold accents. Clients reach the salon by elevator. Visits come with heated towels, long head massages, lap desks and to-go coffee, and the salon describes its service as tailored to each individual client.

Extension work follows a set path. A 30-minute one-on-one consultation costs $50 and is applied to the first install. After that comes a custom plan with a deposit and a hair order, then prep and installation, followed by aftercare and a scheduled maintenance visit. Extension hair is bought separately, custom-ordered, and sold without refunds. Move-ups for most methods are usually needed every 6 to 8 weeks. Reusable hair typically lasts 6 to 12 months with good care, while K-tips are not reusable and last up to 3 to 4 months. The salon states that extensions will not damage natural hair when they are installed properly, cared for at home and removed by a professional. Typical hair costs for extensions run from $250 to $1,200, depending on method, length, color and amount.

Bridal work begins with an inquiry form, and the date is held once a deposit based on the number of stylists needed is paid. A bridal preview usually takes 75 to 90 minutes in the salon and is booked one to two months before the wedding. Final headcount and the day-of schedule are confirmed about 30 days out, and the remaining balance is due 14 days before. Travel to clients is free within 20 miles of the salon, with added fees per stylist for longer trips, a fee for crossing the Bay Bridge from April through October, and extra charges for early starts and holiday weekends or Sundays.

Cancellations and rescheduling need at least 24 hours notice. Late cancellations within 24 hours, and no-shows without notice, are charged a share or all of the booked services, and a card may be kept on file. Appointments are not guaranteed if a client arrives more than 15 minutes late. Children are not permitted during appointments, though breastfeeding guests may bring a baby with advance notice. Adjustments are free within two weeks of the first appointment, and deposits may be required for longer services such as extensions, color corrections and smoothing treatments.
