Cosmic Nails began in Charlotte, North Carolina, in 2016 as a studio. It has since grown into a full team of salon professionals and moved into its current space at 1800 Camden Rd in South End. Julie is the owner.
The owner says the first priority is an environment where clients never feel rushed or overwhelmed. The salon focuses on quality over quantity, and its listed core values are respect, creativity, community, beauty and teamwork.
Services are grouped into natural (manicures, pedicures and combinations), polish changes, enhancements and additional services such as nail art, repairs and cut-downs. Press-on sets are sold in pre-made and custom designs. Each set includes 24 to 32 nails, a file and buffer, and glue or adhesive tabs, and can be filed to fit. Press-on sales are final, and orders ship worldwide.
Online booking opens two weeks at a time and requires an account with a card on file. For dates further ahead, clients call during salon hours, Tuesday to Friday 10 AM to 7 PM and Saturday 10 AM to 5 PM. Appointments are held for 15 minutes for late arrivals, and changes made within 24 hours of an appointment are charged in full.
The salon prioritizes an unhurried visit and quality over volume.
