The school holds registration with the California Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education under school code 1942851. That registration confirms the school met the state standards for registered schools, but it does not confirm compliance with a wider set of state requirements. The school's 39-hour Pre-Apprentice Orientation is a course provided by the California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology, and completing it is a prerequisite for applying for an Apprentice License in either cosmetology or barbering in the state. According to the school, the orientation carries no added charge for candidates who are registered and enrolled with CCBUAC, the Cosmetica Cosmetology and Barbering Unilateral Apprenticeship Committee, a body the school partners with. Course materials and books for the Pre-Apprentice Orientation and Apprenticeship programs are included. Earning a pre-apprenticeship certificate calls for a score of at least 70% (a C) on the course and returning exams to a school office official, and all payments must be settled.
The State Board theory preparation course covers 22 official topics for graduated students. It meets on Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and alternates weekly between Spanish and English. It is for graduates who have submitted their documents to the state for the State Board exam, or who need to retake it, and it applies to Barbering, Cosmetology, Esthetics, and Nails licenses. Personalized 5-hour State Board exam classes are listed at $275 at the special price or $345 at the regular price, subject to availability. According to the school, the theory course is free for apprentices who have completed all their courses and are preparing for or retaking the state exam.
Hair styling, highlights, and haircuts are bookable, as are pedicures, mani-pedis, gel manicures, and full mani-pedis. Skin care options include anti-ageing, deep cleansing, and oxygen facials, each listed at $50 and 1 hour 30 minutes.
Cancellation policies are set out in writing. A full refund is available for a written cancellation made within five business days before the course starts. Cancelling one to four days after enrolling and paying an initial fee, before class starts, returns the total less a 10% service charge. There are no refunds or credit once the first class has started or if a student does not show up on the program start date, and refunds can take up to 45 days. Students withdraw by written notice to the school director, and three consecutive unexcused instructional days count as withdrawal. Leaves of absence can be requested in writing. The school does not guarantee transfer of credits to another institution or job placement for On The Job Training.
Education-led, with courses for working professionals and students entering the field, and licensing-focused pre-apprenticeship and State Board prep alongside them.
