About

Complexion was started in 2019 by nurse practitioners Beth Higney and Natalie Copeland as an in-office treatment practice. It later expanded into CMPLXN, the skincare line the business sells today. According to the salon, its two founders together bring over 30 years of experience in cosmetic dermatology and aesthetic work.

Every visit starts with a health history intake form and a conversation about what the client wants. The provider then examines the skin, takes photos for the chart, and reviews a plan and its cost. Written aftercare instructions are provided, and injectable clients are scheduled for a follow-up. Clients who are pregnant or breastfeeding should say so when booking, since some treatments have to wait. Retinoids, exfoliating acids and sun exposure are best avoided for 48 to 72 hours beforehand unless a provider advises otherwise. For events, injectable appointments are recommended at least two weeks ahead so any swelling or bruising can settle.

Injectables include Botox and Dysport at $14 per unit, filler at $800 per syringe, Sculptra at $900 per vial, Radiesse at $900 per syringe, and PRF with PRF EZ Gel starting at $600. Microneedling is $500 or three for $1,425, and Genius RF microneedling, a radio frequency microneedling treatment, starts at $1,250. ULTRA Laser is $650 or $1,800 for three, and IPL Photofacial is $500 or three for $1,200. PDGF is a $400 add-on that the business describes as all-natural and bio-stimulating. Acne and scar care may combine a consult, CMPLXN skincare, chemical peels, ULTRA Laser and microneedling.

Facials and peels include Microinfusion at $600, HydraFacial at $275, chemical peels at $350, and customized Biologique Recherche facials from $250. Body treatments are Emtone, at $2,500 for a series of six, and Emsculpt Neo, from $3,200 for six sessions; the business describes Emtone as smoothing cellulite and tightening skin, and Emsculpt Neo as reducing fat while building muscle, with no downtime for either. Wellness options are IV therapy at $150 to $250 and vitamin injections at $20 to $65. Skincare and acne consults cost $150 each, and that fee goes toward a treatment booked afterward or is waived if a treatment is booked during the consult.

Memberships come in three tiers: Overachiever at $99 a month or $1,075 a year, Next Level at $199 a month or $2,150 a year, and Face Value at $250 a month or $2,750 a year. Monthly plans carry a six-month minimum, and annual plans are non-refundable after the first 30 days. Memberships are for one person and cannot be transferred, though adding a partner or family member at a reduced rate can be arranged on request. The clinic is at 3417 Murphy Road in the Parke West Building, with parking in the garage behind the building. Hours are 9 AM to 5 PM Monday through Thursday and 8 AM to 4 PM on Friday. Cancellations and reschedules need at least 24 hours' notice. Same-day appointments can be requested by calling (615) 757-8060. The business has been featured in CNN, Underscored, Nashville Lifestyles, Modern Luxury, StyleBlueprint, Modern South and Palomino County.

The business describes its approach as personalized, clinically grounded care with fewer steps, beginning with each client's goals and skin. It says it focuses on natural-looking results and careful patient care.
