Complete Relief Lice Care is a lice screening and treatment business with clinics in Boerne and on the Loop 410 side of San Antonio. The business was started by owner Annie Bearden, who left a corporate job in January 2022 to open it. Clients come from Boerne, Fair Oaks Ranch, Kerrville, Fredericksburg, New Braunfels, Alamo Heights and many other nearby communities.
The signature service is Total Treatment, which combines targeted heat, strand-by-strand combing using the Shepherd Method and a non-toxic topical application. The heat is used to dry out lice and their eggs in one application. Each Total Treatment includes a head and scalp screening, a free re-check and a multi-step treatment. Prices are $149 for hair above the shoulders and $179 for hair at the shoulder and below. Hair that is very thick, long or heavily infested may add $50 per hour when treatment is expected to run past two hours, and the team lets clients know beforehand if this applies.
For families who prefer privacy, Total Treatment can be done at home through in-home appointments, which cost $175 on top of the standard rates. The clinics also offer lower-cost options, including a Partial Treatment for $95 per person that uses either targeted heat with topical application or an hour of combing with topical application. Screenings are $25 per person, and the fee is waived when Total Treatment is booked. Household members can be screened for $10 each when Total Treatment is purchased at the first visit.
The business offers a 30-day lice-free guarantee on Total Treatment. To qualify, every household member must be screened, and treated if lice are found, at the first appointment, and the re-check must be completed. A free re-treatment is available within 30 days if a deficiency is found, limited to one per original service. The guarantee does not cover re-infestation, and a $25 fee applies if a re-screen finds no live lice.
Lice-free certification is available for schools, camps and extracurricular programs. School, daycare and camp screenings are done on site by lice specialists who bring their own equipment and send home personalized notes. Pricing is set by consultation with a $500 minimum. Discounted rates are offered to school nurses and teachers and to families who need three or more Total Treatments.
Treatment is built on the Shepherd Method, with targeted heat and strand-by-strand combing delivered in one session. Clients can book at the clinics or at home.
The clinics are private, with streaming, WiFi, toys and snacks available while you wait.
