Compassionate Soles is run by its founder, Sherika, and is set up for people who need more than cosmetic care but do not require surgery. The business serves seniors and aging adults, diabetics with medical clearance, immunocompromised people, clients with limited mobility, and family members or caregivers booking for a loved one.
Before a first visit, new clients complete a health history intake, consent and acknowledgment form and send photos. Submitting these does not guarantee eligibility, and medical clearance or a healthcare referral may be required. First appointments run 60 to 150 minutes. The Initial Wellness and Diabetic Comprehensive Pedicure is designed for first-time clients and pairs a consultation with corrective work over 75 to 90 minutes. Most other appointments run 45 to 60 minutes, and all services are by appointment, Monday through Saturday from 10am to 4pm.
Every service is waterless, with no foot baths or soaking. Sanitizing sprays, softening agents and clinical techniques take the place of water. Reusable tools are cleaned, disinfected and sterilized in a medical-grade autoclave, then sealed in dated pouches that are opened in front of the client. Single-use items such as gloves, files, buffers, towels, foot shields, toe separators and wipes are discarded after each appointment. The business says its clinical standards exceed those of traditional nail salons.
Mobile visits bring foot care to homes, senior communities, assisted living facilities, nursing homes and other care settings. The business brings its own workstation, sterilized tools, lighting and supplies, and the client provides a chair, table or bedside area. Mobile pricing is the service price plus a travel fee based on mileage zones from ZIP codes 76053 and 76002. Facility partnerships may carry reduced travel fees when several clients are seen in one visit.
Appointments begin with a digital intake form and a photo of the feet emailed to the business. The photo is used only for assessment and kept confidential. After that, the business reaches out to set a time. Booking one to two weeks in advance is advised, particularly for mobile visits, though same-day requests may be honored if the schedule has room. All services are paid privately, and insurance isn't accepted. Payment options are cash, cards, PayPal, and HSA or FSA cards for eligible care. Treatments aimed at health concerns like diabetic foot care, fungal nail restoration, and ingrown toenail correction are generally HSA or FSA eligible; purely cosmetic services are not.
Non-invasive, preventive foot care delivered without water. The business does not diagnose, prescribe or treat medical conditions, and it refers clients to a podiatrist or physician for open wounds, active infections, severe ingrown toenails needing surgery, suspicious lesions, severe swelling or any condition requiring medical or surgical treatment.
