Colour Bar Hair was founded and is led by Izabela Saboski, a master colourist who brought European training to New York nearly three decades ago. The salon's work centres on colour, with cut and colour planned together as one design. Every colour service begins with a consultation.

About

Colour is ammonia-free and uses L'Oréal Professionnel INOA, an oil-based permanent colour. The salon describes its colour as odorless, eco-conscious and vegan. Gloss and demi-colour formulas include Dia Light photo gloss and Dia Color demi colour. Balayage is hand-painted and every balayage service includes Photo Gloss. Architectural colour placement through the Geo Color method is also offered. The Japanese head spa is offered as a 45-minute Scalp Reset Ceremony, a 60-minute Restoration Ritual or a 90-minute Signature Ceremony. Ceremonies are performed on Takara Belmont YUME Spa beds and use Shu Uemura Art of Hair products. The 60- and 90-minute versions include a finished blowout. Series packages of 3, 6 or 12 sessions are available, and a quiet option with minimal conversation can be requested. A full head spa is not performed on the same day as colour. Facial sculpting rituals include Kobido, Buccal Sculpting and Myoplastic SMAS Lifting, offered in 60- and 90-minute sessions. Multi-session Five Rituals and Ten Rituals programs are also listed, and a continuation program called Sculptural Maintenance is customized after consultation. Extension services, including clip-in, tape-in, keratin bond and I-tip, begin with a private consultation with a certified extension specialist; the salon says its extension services are Bellami-certified.
