The space is intended to feel calm and personal, with the client at the center of each visit.

The studio's guiding principle is that healthy hair comes first, and color should not weaken the hair itself. Every appointment opens with a consultation about the client's goals, lifestyle and how much maintenance they want to do at home. Color is then mixed as a formula suited to the client's features and routine, and inspiration photos are welcome to help shape the result.

Color services start at $60 for Brighten and $96 for a standard color, with Dimensional Color from $117, Partial Highlights from $117, Full Highlights from $135, Beachy Highlights from $107 and Balayage from $150. A Toning, Color Melt or Brightening add-on is $38 when added to a highlight or balayage appointment, and a Quick Dry blow dry can be added to any color service for $20. Haircuts run $48 for a short tapered cut or a cut without blow dry, and $65 for a cut with blowout. Blowouts are $55 and can include curling or flat iron finishing. Brow Tint and Brow Wax are each $22. Treatments include Express Treatment at $27, Get Pure clarifying treatment at $35, Olaplex Treatment at $33 and Deep Conditioning Masque at $37.

Booking is done by texting 612.385.0418, and the studio can be emailed at colorjambeauty@gmail.com. Tuesday and Wednesday hours are 10:00 to 6:30, Thursday is 8:00 to 5:30, and Friday is 8:00 to 2:00. Saturday is by appointment only, and Monday and Sunday are closed. Hours are subject to change. Reminders are sent when a visit is booked, about a week ahead and the day before. Changes or cancellations need at least 48 hours' notice, and shorter notice incurs a fee of half the reserved services. A missed appointment without notice is charged 75% of the reserved services, and repeated missed visits may require a deposit before future booking. Late arrivals may be accommodated, though services that cannot fit into the remaining time are still charged in full. Service concerns should be raised within 7 days of the appointment. Refunds are not given for services performed, but the salon will work toward a reasonable solution where appropriate.
