The salon is family-owned and operated and, according to the salon, has been in business for more than 20 years. About

Tanning is walk-in, with no appointment needed, and there are no startup or membership fees. Clients must be 17 or older to tan under Connecticut law, and only one session per day is allowed. Beds and booths are sanitized after each use, bulbs are replaced often, and the salon suggests tanning one to two times a week. Its own tanning lotions, along with tanning skin creams and premium lotions, are sold on site. Purchased sessions do not expire, but monthly unlimited memberships cannot be frozen and membership prices exclude state and federal tax.

Airbrush spray tans are booked by calling the salon, with one week's notice, and competition spray tans must be prepaid. Each appointment has one technician for the whole session, held in a private room, and the bronze shade is adjusted to each client's skin tone and preferences. The spray formulas are lab-tested before use and sit on the outer layer of the skin rather than penetrating it. Aftercare timing depends on the package, with classic tans waiting at least eight hours before showering (24 hours recommended) and express tans waiting at least one hour.

Waxing uses a professional-grade wax that removes hair at the root, and waxing specialists are certified estheticians. Hair should be at least a quarter inch long, and most people find results last about four to six weeks. Eyelash and eyebrow dye is all-natural and vegetable-based. Crush Smoothie Bar, in the salon, makes shakes from natural whole foods with no GMOs, artificial flavors, colors, sweeteners or preservatives, and vegan options are available; drinks can also be ordered for delivery through DoorDash. Appointments canceled within 24 hours carry a 50% fee, and no-call, no-show appointments are charged in full. The salon is open 8:30 am to 8 pm Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm Saturday and 10 am to 1 pm Sunday, and can be reached at 860-257-8118.

Airbrush tans are tailored to each client's skin tone and handled by one technician in a private room, with lab-tested formulas used throughout the spray menu.
