COCO MARIE HAIR EXTENSIONS

Founders Courtney and Chad Peters created the brand, which launched its hair extension line in early 2020. Courtney owned her first booth-rent salon before starting the brand and earlier worked as a professional dancer, including on a cruise line and with dance companies. Chad left a corporate job in 2020 to become a full-time partner in the brand and its salons. The founders own two salons in Denver. The Westminster location has operated since 2010, and the company's educational team and the start of the hair line both began there.

The Cherry Creek salon is at 1000 S. Colorado Blvd., Unit 105, in Glendale, a few minutes from Cherry Creek mall and I-25, with free parking. It offers hair extensions, blonding, lived-in color and women's haircuts. The Westminster salon is at 8741 Sheridan Blvd. and offers blonding, lived-in color, hair extensions, women's cuts, eyelash extensions and in-salon education. A new 14-station salon of 2,500 square feet was built there in 2019. Both salons can be reached at 303-993-4633. Cherry Creek is open Monday to Thursday 9 AM to 8 PM, Friday 9 AM to 4 PM and Saturday 8 AM to 4 PM. Westminster is open Monday to Thursday 9:30 AM to 7 PM, Friday 9 AM to 5 PM and Saturday 9 AM to 4 PM. Guest service hours are listed separately from the salon hours.

Extensions are made from human hair, which the brand says is ethically sourced and cuticle intact, in lengths from 16 to 28 inches and in styles including hand-tied wefts, butterfly wefts, clip-ins, seamless tape-ins, K-tips and curly wefts. The swatch ring has 29 colors, including solids, balayage and rooted shades. Professional collections and pro pricing are limited to licensed beauty professionals who request approval, while the public can buy hair care, tools, clip-in extensions and education. Blonde extensions are said to last 8 to 10 months and brunette extensions 10 to 14 months with proper care, and move-up appointments are recommended every 6 to 8 weeks.

Booking is done online, by phone, or through the booking platform, where clients can also buy gift cards and memberships. Salons require a credit card on file. Installs need a non-refundable deposit toward the hair order and service, with the balance due at the appointment. Cancellations within 48 hours are charged 50% of the services booked, and a no-call, no-show is charged 100%. Color corrections need a consultation first and are charged by the hour. The salons do not offer pixie cuts, shag or wolf cuts, short A-line bobs or men's cuts. Guests more than 15 minutes late may be asked to reschedule. Small children and large dogs are not permitted at appointments.
