Coastal Aesthetics describes itself as an inclusive and progressive medical spa and calls itself a new practice. It is run by two sisters who are both nurse practitioners, and it aims to be a welcoming space where clients can work toward becoming their best selves.

The practice's view is that no part of a person needs to be fixed cosmetically. Treatments are offered to enhance or minimize features, based on what a client wants.

Neurotoxin treatment is offered with Botox, Juveau or Xeomin. Results usually begin to show within two to three days, are generally best around two weeks, and are followed by a check-in visit at that point. Results are not permanent and typically last three to six months, depending on the product and the individual's metabolism. Side effects are described as rare and usually mild, such as short-lived bruising, redness, pain, swelling, numbness or headache. Neurotoxin is not offered to people with ingredient allergies, nerve or muscle disorders, or those who are pregnant or breastfeeding. Clients are asked to avoid alcohol and hair removal near treatment areas for 24 hours beforehand, keep their head elevated for two to three hours afterward, and avoid touching the treated sites or strenuous activity for 24 hours.

The weight loss program uses weekly injections of semaglutide, a GLP-1 receptor agonist, or tirzepatide, a dual GIP and GLP-1 receptor agonist. Both are compounded medications. According to the practice, they reduce appetite, slow stomach emptying and support insulin secretion, and combined with diet and exercise they can lead to significant weight loss and lower heart disease and diabetes risk. Candidacy is generally met with a BMI over 30, or over 27 with a weight-related medical problem and difficulty losing weight through diet and exercise. The length of the program depends on individual needs, how well the medication is tolerated, and personal goals.
