Coast SMP

Coast SMP works from a studio at 909 S Coast Hwy Suite C in Oceanside. Scalp micropigmentation adds pigment with small needles to mimic the look of hair follicles, and the studio says it can address complete hair loss, thinning, bald patches and scars on the scalp. The result is semipermanent and does not grow hair back.

Every visit starts with a free consultation, which can be held at the studio or done through photos and includes an evaluation of hair loss. Appointments and evaluations are offered daily at the Oceanside studio. Treatment does not begin until the client is ready, and the work is broken into several steps that begin with that assessment. The final price is set only after a full scalp evaluation and depends on area and complexity.

Sessions usually run 2 to 4 hours and are spaced about 7 to 10 days apart. Some redness on treated areas is expected after each session and typically lasts 2 to 3 days. The studio uses a dotting technique, which it says is less painful than traditional tattoo scraping.
