Clover Park Technical College Eastside Training Center

Clover Park Technical College, also known as CPTC, traces its roots to a 1941 War Production Training program at Clover Park High School. Its predecessor, Clover Park Vocational-Technical Institute, was founded in 1942 and became Clover Park Technical College in the 1990s after leaving the Clover Park School District. The college is governed by a five-member Board of Trustees and is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities. The college says its career programs are hands-on training for high-demand jobs across Washington state.

The salon is the college's public-facing service space. Cosmetology and esthetic sciences are housed in Building 8 on the Lakewood Campus, at 4500 Steilacoom Blvd SW. Cosmetology services are offered Tuesday through Thursday, from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm and again from 3:30 pm to close, with the last available appointment starting at 5:30 pm. Hair services cover adult and children's haircuts, bangs trims, full color and retouches, foil and specialty color techniques, corrective and fashion colors, permanent waves, relaxers and a Brazilian Blowout treatment. Styling options include round-brush blow dries, roller sets, iron curls and advanced styling such as updos, spiral curls and press and curl. Hair removal covers waxing from brows and lip, chin or nose through full legs and Brazilian waxing when available.

Skin and body services include European, ionic and maintenance facials, radiofrequency, dermaplaning, LED light therapy, chemical and alternative peels, microdermabrasion, microcurrent, lymphatic drainage and microneedling. Body care offers body scrubs, body wraps, back treatments and cellulite reduction. Lash extensions, lash tints, brow tints and combined lash and brow tints are also available, along with special occasion makeup application. Prices are listed by service on the college's price list, from $5 for a conditioning scalp massage up to $135 for a Brazilian Blowout.
