Clix began as a group of friends who wanted a salon that felt beautiful, peaceful and cohesive. It opened in a small strip center with 13 stylists and nail technicians and has since grown to more than 18 stylists, nail technicians, massage therapists and an esthetician. The owner, Michele Franz, has been a master nail technician since 1995, and the salon says it treats its staff as family.

On the hair side, stylists work with each client to plan the look they want and then offer advice on keeping hair healthy. Services include color, highlights, balayage, keratin treatments, extensions and precision cuts, and a free clean-up cut is offered between appointments. Technicians can mix colors from natural shades to pastel hues. Stylists take ongoing education to keep up with cut and color techniques, and the stylists together have over 50 years of experience. The nail technicians have over 30 years of combined experience and offer acrylic sets and fills, gel polish, regular manicures and spa pedicures.

The esthetician menu combines facials that aim for relaxation with anti-aging techniques, from a teen facial for clients 19 and under to the 90 minute Ultimate Relaxation Facial. Clients can also book microdermabrasion or glycolic peels in 35, 60 or 75 minute sessions, and a body scrub. Esthetician services are provided under Skin Solutions by Victoria. Massage is offered to ease pain and stress, with Kimberly Newman providing sessions in 60, 90 and 120 minute lengths. Hot towels and hot packs are included in every massage. Brow and lash services include sugaring, lash lifting, lash extensions in several styles, lamination and tinting.

Children are welcome but must be supervised at all times. Staff take children who are receiving or waiting for spa services into account. Facial packages are sometimes available, and monthly specials are offered. Hair prices are starting prices and can change with hair length, density, or extra color or product. Extension prices include the hair, installation, blending and styling.

The salon is built around a family-style team and ongoing education for its stylists. Services are planned around what each client wants to achieve, with practical advice on hair health.
