The clinic's approach starts with an in-depth consultation, followed by a treatment plan, corrective products and follow-up support. It does not use pills, prescriptions, Accutane, lasers or machines. Peels are the core of the in-clinic work. Acne peels include a glycolic and salicylic acid peel, a mandelic acid pore-refining peel and a pore de-clogging peel cocktail. Brightening and anti-aging peels include arbutin fruit acid, lactic acid, pumpkin enzyme and resurfacing cream options. Other treatment appointments cover acne treatment, a complete acne facial, peel treatment, scar or dark spot treatment, and a Jessner spot treatment. Acne coaching and phone-based consultations suit clients who are not local or who want ongoing guidance between visits.

Practical details: the office is across from the San Leandro Public Library. Hours are Tuesday through Friday from 11 am to 5 pm and Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm, with the clinic closed Sunday, Monday and holidays. Consultations and treatment appointments must be prepaid, and treatment appointments take a $50 deposit that is non-refundable. Weekday cancellations need 24 hours' notice by phone and Saturday cancellations need 48 hours' notice. Clients should avoid shrimp, crab and lobster for 48 hours before an appointment, and consistent sunscreen use is required with peels and active products. Children under 12 are not permitted at appointments. Saturday walk-ins are taken only between 2:30 and 2:45 pm, in order of arrival, and are not guaranteed. Services are offered in Spanish.

Products and kits are available. Peel, masque and serum kits are sold for $45 and are offered to current clients. Product returns and exchanges need prior written authorization within ten days of purchase. Orders ship by UPS to US credit card billing addresses and by USPS to Hawaii, Alaska, international and military addresses.

The clinic works from in-depth consultations and individualized programs, combining corrective peels, coaching and follow-up support. It states that acne can be managed over time rather than cured.
