Every installation begins with a consultation. A standard toupee consultation costs $50. A private in-person consultation runs one hour for $150. The Invisible Crown consultation lasts 55 minutes, costs $150 and is non-refundable; it covers an evaluation of the natural hair, scalp and hair-loss area, hair system recommendations, color and texture matching, the maintenance a system will need, and an estimated service time. It does not include installation, though $50 of the fee can be applied toward a service booked within seven days.
Installation is an adhesive method that includes shampoo, scalp preparation, placement, blending with natural hair and styling. The same appointment type, at $675 and 1 hour 50 minutes, also covers new cut-in toupees and bring-your-own cut-in pieces. Reinstallation at $475 and 1 hour 50 minutes removes the system already bonded to the head before the new placement. New-purchase cut-in and customization costs $1,500 and runs 1 hour 55 minutes, including cutting, hairline shaping, product application and basic care instructions. Between full visits, a 1 hour 30 minute maintenance appointment at $235 keeps the style in shape with the system still attached, though it does not include shampooing, removal, cleaning or reattachment. Clients who want a system cleaned and restored can use a drop-off and pick-up rejuvenation service; the price depends on the condition of the piece and is approved after assessment. A clip-in add-on converts a system into a clip-on unit using pressure-sensitive clips with no adhesive, at $75 and 1 hour 45 minutes.
Each client starts with a consultation that assesses the natural hair and scalp before any system is chosen, and the process of securing and blending the system is explained along the way.
