About

Clemson Eye was founded in Clemson by Mary Louise Parisi and Dr. Joe Parisi. Over the last twenty years the practice has opened or acquired clinics and ambulatory surgery centers across the Upstate and Midlands, and it says a strategic partnership in 2018 tripled its size. It describes itself as a leading provider of advanced eye care in the Upstate and says its surgeons are highly trained and it uses current technology.

The medical side covers the full range of eye care: routine eye exams with contact lens fitting, pediatric eye care, cataract surgery with premium lens implant options chosen alongside the surgeon, and refractive lens exchange for vision correction that is not tied to cataracts. Vision correction choices include LASIK for nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism, and the EVO Implantable Collamer Lens, which is placed behind the iris and is an option for people who are not suitable for LASIK. The Light Adjustable Lens is also offered.

Specialty care includes cornea treatment for keratitis, dry eye, keratoconus and Fuchs dystrophy; glaucoma treatment that may involve eye drops, oral medication, laser therapy or surgery; retina care for diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal tears and detachments and macular holes; and oculoplastic surgery on the eyelids, orbit and tear ducts, including blepharoplasty and ptosis repair. Dry eye care can include artificial tears, prescription medication, lifestyle changes, tear duct procedures and treatments such as LipiFlow, Broad Band Light Therapy and BlephEx, along with options for home use.

Aesthetics covers both surgical and non-surgical options, among them eyelid surgery and brow lifts, along with injection treatments, facials, light-based laser sessions, contouring, cosmetic tattooing, and clinical-grade skin care.

Office hours vary by location, with most offices open weekdays and some running Monday to Thursday with shorter Friday hours.

The practice describes its stated vision as making lives better through personalized eye care, combining medical and surgical care across the Upstate.
