The salon is owned and run by May, who has been working with hair since 1999 and has spent more than 25 years in the beauty industry. Her work includes a decade as a hair designer in Seoul, Korea, before she moved to Los Angeles in December 2010.

The salon says it wants each client's features to come through and works to personalize every service, starting with a conversation about what the client wants. It aims for a natural-looking result rather than a heavily styled one.

The menu covers adult and children's cuts, a full bleach and color range including toning and glosses, highlights and balayage, and perms from regular and digital to setting, heat, keratin and Japanese magic straight.
