Services are by appointment only, and clients must keep a credit card on file to reserve a booking.

The salon's owner, Clark, has spent about forty years in the beauty industry and is now retired. The business also runs the Clark Richard Salon Academy, a training program for newer stylists. Academy trainees have every service checked and evaluated, and prices quoted at the Academy's starting rates reflect that training level.

Prices vary by stylist, depending on hair length, experience and continuing education. Hair color prices include a wash, blow dry and style, and a haircut is charged separately. Extra color can be added starting at $22. Cuts include a wash and style. New color clients need a consultation before booking, and balayage and Pintura Highlights also require one.

Curly cuts are done dry, so hair should be dry and in its natural curl pattern on the day of the visit. Clients are asked not to pull their hair back into a ponytail beforehand and to use minimal product. Long curly cuts can take 90 to 120 minutes or more.

Cancellations and reschedules need 48 hours' notice. A missed notice window results in a charge of 100% of the scheduled services. Hours are Tuesday and Thursday 10am to 8pm, Wednesday and Friday 9am to 4pm, and every other Saturday 9am to 3pm, though these may change.

Stylists focus on ongoing education to keep their skills current, and the salon designs looks in classic, contemporary or cutting-edge styles to suit each client's lifestyle.
