CK Designs Hair Salon was founded by Cathy Kirk, who opened it on Main Street in downtown Carmel in 2000 and worked there for 21 years before moving to its current suite at My Salon Suites on South Rangeline Road in Carmel. Some guests have been coming since the salon first opened.

The salon's stated goal is for clients to look and feel their best, on the view that healthy hair is part of that. It aims to employ passionate hair designers who keep educating themselves, and it describes itself as using the highest quality products.

To book, clients submit an online appointment request form and the salon follows up by email to schedule. Clients thinking about a change in their hair can have a free consultation first. Each service begins with a complimentary Image Profile. Parking is free, either on the street or in the Veterans Way Parking Garage.

The salon offers haircuts, color and highlights, blowouts and additional treatments. Clients can also take home Cote Hair Care at-home products and the Gage for Men line for men's grooming.
