Children's Hair Club has been serving clients since 2000 as a family-owned salon in Terra Linda, San Rafael. It welcomes children, teens, dads, moms and grandparents, and its prices are set by age group.
The salon is decorated with shelves of toys and memorabilia and has an old-fashioned barbershop feel for kids and teens. There are no screens. It is open Tuesday through Saturday, roughly 9:30am to 5:30pm. Walk-ins are taken when there is room, but appointments are strongly recommended, especially after 2pm and all day Saturday. Bookings for the coming week can be made by phone, and requests for later dates go through an online form, with a reply within two to three business days.
The First Professional Haircut is a set package that includes a photo and a certificate with a lock of hair. Tangles and thicker hair may add time, and prices may change. Payment is by cash, check or Zelle only. A $20 fee applies to non-emergency no-shows, and no phone call is needed for it to apply.
A family-run salon that chooses its hair care with young scalps and hair in mind, using sulfate-free lines made for babies and children alongside organic and natural shampoos for everyone.
