CHIC Hair describes itself as a private studio focused on hair made for each client.

Rather than working from set formulas, the studio plans colour and cuts around each client's hair, face and lifestyle. The approach to colour and cut is described by the studio as editorial. Colour is mixed by hand for each client at the appointment, and the aim is results that keep hair in good condition, with gloss rather than damage.

A visit begins with a consultation, which is complimentary and used to plan the service. Each client has the studio to themselves, with one chair and one client at a time. Final quotes depend on length, density and the work involved. Pricing starts at $75 for Cut & Style, $120 for Custom Colour and $200 for Highlights and Hand-Painted Highlights. Extensions and Bridal & Events are priced on consultation.

The studio offers full and partial foil highlights, from soft babylights to bolder contrast, as well as freehand hand-painted highlights applied strand by strand. Hand-tied and tape-in extensions are available for length, volume and blend. Bridal & Events covers trials, on-location styling and red-carpet-ready finishes.

Appointments are by arrangement at the studio. Listed hours are Monday and Tuesday from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm, Wednesday to Friday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Saturday from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, with Sunday closed. Online booking is available through the website and Square.
