Dreadlocks are the core of the hair work. InstantLocs are created with a crochet method that uses no wax, glue or thread, and the business says the locs can be washed and swum in on the day they are made. Options range from partial crochet starter locs and full head starter locs to detangling and dreadlocks removal, transformation repair and reconstruction, and extensions made from 100% Afro kinky human hair. The business says its crochet method is guaranteed and that properly done dreadlocks do not unravel.

Every service begins with a consultation. The 30-minute consultation for braids, sew-ins and lace fronts is $100, and the 50-minute Chi Luxury Care Consultation is $250. At consultation the stylist checks length and assesses existing locs, and healthy locs started by another stylist may be accepted. Clients are asked to arrive with clean, product-free, blown-out hair without oils or gels, and 3 to 4 inches of hair is ideal for starting locs. Extensions are non-refundable, and California taxes apply to services.

Alongside hair, ChiBeauty offers sound baths with crystal bowls, a chakra group session called Chakras n Chill, and a 45-minute individual meditation using breath, crystals and sound, with optional aromatherapy and sage smudge. Virtual sound baths and virtual crystal healing sessions with guided energy work are available remotely. Chakras n Chill also offers on-site meditation, energy reset sessions and space clearing for individuals, businesses and community spaces, and is based in Los Angeles and available for travel.

The shop sells hair oils that the business says are made from natural home-grown herbs, handcrafted copper jewelry and cups sold at its pop-up retail experience, and hair, art and metaphysical tools for wellness.
