Chez Gabrielle: Health + Beauty

The space began as The Invitation Wellness Spa, which Gabrielle Hildebrand took over in 2017. It was later renamed Chez Gabrielle: Health + Beauty and expanded to include skin care, acupuncture, energy work and massage therapy. Today it works as a collective of practitioners, each with their own practice, sharing one location.

The business sits on the corner of San Bruno Avenue and Elm Avenue in a residential neighborhood a few minutes from I-280, I-380 and El Camino. The entrance and a small private parking area are on the Elm Street side. Inside, the rooms have furniture, houseplants and original artwork, and double windows keep things quiet despite the busy corner. There are two private massage rooms, each with a heated table and soothing music, and two massage chairs for seated work.

Massage options run from fully clothed chair massage to longer therapeutic, prenatal, orthopedic and lymphatic sessions, with hot stone work and sports massage also offered. Facials begin with a skin analysis and a talk about concerns, and the esthetician helps clients settle on a home routine. Acupuncture visits are offered for a wide range of concerns, from stress and sleep to joint pain and digestion.

Work is tailored to each client's needs, with the aim of giving people time to rest and rejuvenate.
