Cheys of Color

Cheys of Color is located at 3356 Ironbound Road in Building 1-B in Williamsburg. The salon is open Wednesday through Friday from 9 AM to 5:30 PM and on Saturday from 8 AM to 4 PM, and it is closed Monday, Tuesday and Sunday.

Color is the core of the menu. Options run from full and partial balayage and highlights to lowlights, all-over solid color, root touch-ups, and a Color Reset Session for removing previous color. Gloss and toner refreshes are also offered. The salon notes that color removal is not guaranteed in a single visit and that warm tones may remain after a color reset.

Clients who are unsure what they want can book Lets Talk Hair, a 35-minute one-on-one consultation at no charge to talk through hair goals, color history and the look they want. Haircuts are offered for women, teens, seniors and children, and there are styling options such as blowouts, curls, hot tool styles and Event Styling for occasions.

Bridal and event work is a major part of the business. Services include a Bride's Trial for hair, makeup or both, day-of hair and makeup for brides, a Glam Up Package for proms and photoshoots, and bridal party hair and makeup for groups of two to eight people, in the suite or on location. Hair and makeup duos can also be booked with in-suite service, and a travel fee applies based on distance for on-location work.

Booking terms are set out clearly. Deposits are non-refundable and count toward the final total. Cancellations or reschedules need at least 48 hours' notice, and later cancellations are charged 50% of the booked service. No-shows are charged the full service and must pay a deposit to rebook. Clients who arrive 15 minutes late may need to reschedule. Buy Now, Pay Later is available in person for bookings from $50 to $4,000, with approval needed before the appointment. Gift cards are also offered.
