Both are boutique-style salons with limited room, so clients are asked to come alone.

Services include customized cuts and styles, hair care advice and a wide selection of hair products for sale. Dry curly cuts include a wash. Children get haircuts, and a parent or adult must stay for the full appointment. Clients are asked to arrive with hair out and loose, without tight ponytails or sticky products, and high collars, turtlenecks, hoodies and hoop or long earrings are discouraged.

Deep conditioning can be customized and is done with a steamer that infuses the hair with purified water instead of dry heat. Steam deep conditioning adds a customized conditioner to freshly washed, detangled hair before steaming. Deep detox uses a customized Malibu C treatment to remove dirt and product residue. The salon describes the K-18 treatment as patented technology that works on broken bonds, and says it restores elasticity and helps protect hair from further breakage.

Appointments are booked through the online booking site by choosing a stylist, service, date and time, and gift cards can be bought there too. A credit card on file is required to book, and a deposit applies only to fantasy colors and color corrections. Clients should give 24 hours notice to cancel. A late cancellation or no-show is charged the full service price, and that fee must be paid before a new appointment can be scheduled. Discounts and coupons do not apply to cancellation fees. Arriving more than 15 minutes late may mean rescheduling, and late arrivals have their treatment shortened while still being charged in full.

The Pittsburgh location is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday with shorter daytime hours, stays open until 8:00 PM on Tuesday and Thursday, and takes weekend bookings by appointment only.
