Chelmsford Beauty Academy

Chelmsford Beauty Academy is a state-approved school, and its manicurist and esthetician programs are approved by the Massachusetts Board of Cosmetology and Barbering. The school describes its goal as helping adults advance their careers through hands-on training.

Training is available in two programs. The esthetician program has a total course fee of $8,500 and the manicurist program has a total course fee of $1,700, each plus a registration and administration fee of $150 for esthetics and $50 for manicuring. Start dates for the manicurist program include November 16, 2026 (Monday to Wednesday, 9:30 AM to 4 PM) and November 30, 2026 (Monday and Tuesday evenings, 5:45 to 9:30 PM). The esthetician program starts October 19, 2026 as a full-time daytime schedule (Monday to Wednesday, 9 AM to 4:30 PM) and June 28, 2027 as a part-time evening schedule (Monday to Wednesday, 5:45 to 9:45 PM). Further dates are offered in 2027.

The student clinic offers basic facials, waxing, lash extensions, lash lifts and gel manicures. Treatments are performed by students training in esthetics or manicuring and supervised by an instructor. The basic facial is listed at $20 and the gel manicure at $12, and prices and treatments may change without notice. Payment is by cash only, and the clinic asks for 24 hours' notice to cancel. Appointments may be cancelled based on student attendance, and arrivals 10 or more minutes late may need to rebook. Gratuities are not required. Children under 12 are not serviced, and minors must be supervised by a parent or guardian. Phone and video calls, food and drinks, and extra guests are not permitted in the treatment area.

Preparation guidance is provided for clients. For facials, arrive with a clean, bare face and avoid facial exfoliants for 48 to 72 hours beforehand. For waxing, stop shaving or plucking two weeks in advance, with hair about a quarter inch long. For lash services, wear no eye makeup, remove contacts, and keep lashes dry for 24 hours afterward.

The school also runs short classes. Upcoming offerings include a GlyMed Skin Barrier Repair Certification Class on November 5, 2026, a Classic Eyelash Extension Class starting November 29, 2026, and a two-day Beginner Acrylic Class from November 8 to 15, 2026 (9 AM to 4:30 PM).
