About

Charm Beauty School has operated its beauty education programs for more than 30 years, according to the school. Its campus at 25050 W Warren Ave offers Cosmetology, Esthetics, Manicuring, Cosmetology Instructor and Electrology programs. The school describes its learning environment as friendly, supportive and creative, with a family-like feel.

The school's stated focus is on quality education, successful careers and student satisfaction. It keeps class sizes small so students get more individual attention, and students practice on many different hair types in hands-on work.

The guest salon is where the public can book services, with students doing the work under instructor supervision. The school describes these services as affordable. Current offerings include haircuts with shampoo, color and highlights, perms and relaxers, facials, makeup application and waxing.

The Cosmetology program runs 1,500 hours with full-time and part-time schedules. It covers haircutting, styling, coloring, thermal styling, facials, waxing, nail polish and artificial nails, along with salon management, marketing, product sales, social media and customer service. Listed costs are $16,500 tuition, $1,000 for textbooks and supplies, a $135 registration fee, a $50 application fee and a $15 state registration fee. The Esthetics program can be finished in as little as 750 hours with day, evening and weekend classes, and is listed at $10,500 including $9,300 tuition. The Manicuring program takes 600 hours with day, evening and weekend options, listed at $8,000. The Cosmetology Instructor program is 600 hours, listed at $12,500, and requires a current cosmetology license.

Advanced courses include eyelash lifting and extensions, permanent cosmetics and eyebrow lamination. The school states it cannot guarantee employment after the cosmetology program. Admission requires a high school diploma, GED or equivalent, a driver's license or ID card, and a Social Security card. Prospective students can schedule a campus tour and a free consultation about scholarships, payment plans and loans. Federal aid is available through the FAFSA, including Pell Grants and Federal Student Loans. The school also offers in-house tuition payment plans, and students can search for outside scholarships.

Students learn on many hair types in hands-on training, with small classes and guest salon work done under instructor supervision.

The school describes its setting as friendly, supportive and creative, with a family feel.
