Changes opened in 1984 as a full-service salon offering hair, nails, massage and skincare. It grew in steps: a 1996 addition brought a facial room and a larger hair area, and in 1998 it became a day spa with lounge space and dedicated skincare and massage rooms. A 2007 expansion brought the salon to roughly 10,000 square feet across the entire ground floor. The business marked 35 years in 2019. Owner Dima Kabbani earned a finance degree and later a master's in accounting at Santa Clara University, spent more than 16 years at Fortune 500 companies, and then moved into recruiting before taking over the salon.

A 2007 expansion brought the salon to roughly 10,000 square feet across the entire ground floor. The business marked 35 years in 2019. Owner Dima Kabbani earned a finance degree and later a master's in accounting at Santa Clara University, spent more than 16 years at Fortune 500 companies, and then moved into recruiting before taking over the salon.

The owner says the focus is on new technology, helping staff grow, and wellness rather than beauty alone. The salon describes its standard as exceptional care and exceptional service. It has 18 hair stations, 11 treatment rooms and 60 team members. Clients can book any of the salon's technicians across hair, skin, massage and nails, and most salon and spa services include a complimentary 15-minute consultation, though some require one. The salon recommends a complimentary consultation before a medifacial peel.

The spa areas are built for guests who arrive early or stay longer. The Aqua Terra relaxation room has a double-sided 16-foot water wall, and the spa also has men's and women's steam rooms, showers, a wet room, an infrared sauna, a garden courtyard and terrace, and a beverage bar with coffee, tea and snacks. Steam rooms are open to guests booking a full-length massage or facial, and clients who arrive 20 to 30 minutes early for a massage or facial receive complimentary steam room access. Spa access day passes are available for guests who want only the amenities, and spa lunches can be pre-ordered through guest services.

Single-service appointments need 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. Missed appointments or late cancellations are charged at least 50% of the service value. Services are reserved with a credit card, which is charged only if the slot cannot be filled. Clients can join a cancellation list for earlier openings. Groups should book three to six weeks ahead with the names of all participants; groups of more than five, private events, corporate gatherings and spa rentals are arranged through groups@changessalon.com. Children under 16 need a parent or guardian present for the consultation and the service. Parking is easiest in the Broadway and Cypress garage, where the first hour is free, and metered parking is discouraged because it is strictly enforced and staff cannot refill it. The salon is open Tuesday through Thursday 9:30 AM to 8:30 PM, Friday and Saturday 8 AM to 6:30 PM, Sunday 9 AM to 5:30 PM, and closed Monday. Book online through meevo.com or call (925) 947-1814.
