Cedar Nails operates as Cedar Nails LLC, which is licensed and insured in Washington as a nail salon. The salon works only in gel, so acrylic and dip powder services are not offered.
Clients can choose a regular gel manicure, a thin gel that gives color and shine and lasts about two to three weeks, or a builder gel manicure, a thicker gel that adds structure and strength and can be used for overlays or extensions. Both begin with a classic dry manicure and finish with hydrating lotion and cuticle oil. Either can be dressed up with nail art in three levels, from magnet gel, aura effects and simple flowers at the first level to intricate hand-painted designs, 3D elements and multiple gems at the third.
The Mystery Manicure lets clients pick a gel or builder gel base while the technician creates the design. Booking one means accepting the technician's design, and changes or requests are not taken unless the technician invites them. New clients to gel, and anyone wanting fills, removals or a service not listed, book a First Time Client appointment and receive a form after booking.
Only product applied by the technician is worked with, so existing work from another technician is not filled; a removal is added when old product is present. Repairs within two weeks of an appointment are free, and after that a full appointment is usually needed. Booking every two to three weeks is recommended. A referral program gives a referred friend 20% off the first appointment, and every three referred friends who book and complete appointments earn the referrer a free nail appointment. E-gift cards are sold through Square.
