Cecy Beauty Salon began about 20 years ago in Cuba, in a hair salon run from the owner's home. It has been operating for more than 20 years and is strongest in hairdressing, with other services added alongside it.
The salon was founded by Cecilia Fernandez, who started doing hair in Cuba, first on the hair of family members. She built a large clientele there, known for cuts, color and styling, before moving to Miami in 2013 to deepen her training in cosmetology.
Services are grouped under Hair, Hairstyles, Nails, Eyebrows and Eyelashes. Hair covers haircuts, color work from retouches and highlights through balayage and color correction, and extensions. Hairstyles covers blow outs, dry styling, braiding and updos. Nails offers classic and gel manicures, acrylic nails and sculptural nails. Eyebrow work includes sculpting, tinting and waxing, and eyelash extensions are offered as well.
The salon aims to help clients feel more like themselves and more confident, and it serves clients of all ages. The owner also hopes to bring the same passion and purpose to the colleagues she works alongside.
The salon's philosophy centers on helping each client find their own confidence and sense of self, and the owner extends the same commitment to fellow professionals.
