Carrie Mueller, the owner, founded Carolyn Lorraine Salon more than 25 years ago. After high school she trained at Pivot Point Academy and then began her career working in salons.

The salon says its aim is for both staff and clients to feel like family. Its team of about thirty includes receptionists, shampoo assistants, hairstylists, estheticians and nail technicians, so hair, skin, massage and nail services are all offered in one place.

Clients come for contemporary and classic hair designs. The salon describes its hair color and highlighting as the finest in the area. Highlighting can be as light as a few foils or extend to full highlights for maximum brightness, and balayage is customized to the look each client wants.

Facial menus include customized signature facials, versions with microdermabrasion or a sheet or jelly mask, a deluxe option with extra time, and a facial designed for men. Massage blends neuromuscular, myofascial and deep tissue techniques, adjusted to each client's needs and preferences.

Wedding services follow a set sequence: contact the salon, secure the date, book a trial, then finalize appointments. Bridal and some hair prices are set after a consultation, and the stylist may adjust pricing based on time, amount of color or product, the amount of hair and the result wanted.

The salon says it takes time to understand the needs of each client before work begins.
