Booking is by request through the online booking site, by phone or by text, and appointment times are flexible, so clients can ask for a specific time. Clients check in on the My Salon Suites kiosk, then let the salon know they have arrived, and the owner lets them in. Parents are encouraged to share their child's needs and routines before the first visit. Snacks, drinks and distraction toys are on hand, and clients may bring a familiar item that helps a child focus, plus a change of clothes.
New clients often start with a free Just Hang Out Time visit to get comfortable without a haircut, or with a 45-minute Let's See How It Goes appointment for $45. For clients who need a gradual path, the salon creates an Individualized Haircut Plan after questions or an in-person consultation, and revises it as progress is made. The plan is not a legal document. Sensory Exposure Appointments and longer Sensory Hour visits are available in the salon or on location.
A missed appointment where the client made no effort to phone or cancel is charged 20%. Paying by credit card adds a 2.5% processing fee. Buy Now, Pay Later can be used for in-person appointments booked through the platform, for amounts from $50 to $4,000, but it must be approved before the visit. The salon is open Monday 9am to 12pm, Tuesday 9am to 7pm, Wednesday 9am to 8pm, Thursday 9am to 7pm, Friday 9am to 12pm and 5pm to 7pm, and Saturday 9am to 5pm, and does not open on Sundays.
Visits are paced to each client, with a planned and revisable Individualized Haircut Plan for those who need a gradual approach.
