Cactus Sugar Studio was founded by Lauren Brummett and describes itself as a boutique sugaring experience. Its approach puts skin care first, and the studio presents sugaring as a skin-conscious alternative to traditional waxing.

About

Sugaring uses a paste made only from sugar, lemon and water. It is applied without heat and removed in the direction of hair growth. The studio says this is gentler on sensitive skin than waxing, and that with a regular schedule results can last longer and ingrown hairs and razor bumps can decrease over time.

Services are grouped into bikini sugaring, Brazilian sugaring, body sugaring, face sugaring, brows, men's services, add-ons, packages and membership, plus a skin care treatment. Brazilian services are for women only, and the studio is not currently certified to offer men's Brazilian or bikini services. Clients can text the studio at any time, including outside of hours, to ask about a consultation without booking first. Consultations and quotes for areas not listed, such as hands or back, are free.

Organic USDA-certified sugar paste is available on request with advance notice for an extra $10 on select services. Tinted moisturizer and brow makeup can be applied on request after full face and brow services. Hours are Monday to Friday 10AM to 7PM and Saturday and Sunday 10AM to 5PM. Packages for Brazilian maintenance and the monthly membership are described on the booking site's Shop tab, and clients can request a call about program options.
