C.R.K. Beauty is a boutique studio on Charles Street in Boston, run by owner Cori Kurker, who previously managed The Beauty Mark on Beacon Hill. Clients travel from across Boston and the wider state to see her.

Visits are by appointment only. Bookings are made by calling or texting 203.530.2305, with texting the preferred route, and the business says it replies within 24 hours. Cancellations need 24 hours' notice or a 50% fee is added to the next visit. Payment is by major credit card, cash or Venmo, and tips are welcome in cash or Venmo.

Lash extensions come in classic, volume and hybrid styles. Classic work places one extension on each natural lash, while volume work, also called 3D-6D or Russian volume, places several ultra-fine synthetic lashes on each natural lash. A full set takes up to two hours, and a fill usually takes about an hour. Extensions last up to four to six weeks, and fills every two to three weeks are recommended. The studio uses Novalash extensions and Novalash adhesive, which the brand describes as medical grade and comparable to the glue used for stitches. The business states that extensions do not harm natural lashes when applied properly.

Before a lash appointment, clients should arrive without eye makeup or mascara and remove their contacts. Between visits, lashes should be cleaned twice a day with a wand, and oil-based face washes are fine. Clients should not cut or remove their extensions at home, and any allergic reaction should be reported to the extensionist.

The aim is to enhance each client's natural look and keep the process as easy as possible.
