Byrd's Beauty

Byrd's Beauty, also listed as Byrd's Beauty Electrolysis, is a home-based electrolysis service in Euclid, Ohio. It focuses on progressive permanent hair removal, with each hair treated individually.

Treatments use a single-use sterile probe inserted into each follicle. Depending on the client's needs, the electrologist chooses between galvanic, thermolysis and blend electrolysis. Because hairs are treated in their growth phase, several sessions are usually needed, and the number depends on the area, hair density and each person's growth cycle.

A new client's first visit is a one-hour consultation for $50. It covers a health and skin history review, a discussion of goals, an assessment of the treatment area, and a personalized plan with an estimate of sessions. A complimentary 15-minute trial treatment is included. Sensation is described as a brief heat or slight pinch, and settings can be adjusted during the session. The space is private and discreet.

Standard-area treatments cover the face, arms, legs and underarms. Sensitive-area treatments cover the bikini, Brazilian, buttocks and genitals. Pricing is based on the time booked, in blocks from 15 to 60 minutes, so clients pay only for the time they need.

Booking requires a credit card on file, and new clients pay a non-refundable deposit that is applied to their first service. A 48-hour cancellation policy applies, and there are hair length requirements. Clients are asked not to tweeze or wax the treatment area for three to four weeks before an appointment, and to drink at least 60 ounces of water before and after treatment. Consultations and appointments are often available in the evenings and on weekends. Clients can reach the business by email, phone or text, and the studio welcomes clients of all gender identities and sexual orientations.
