Butterface Skin Spa takes its name from the phrase 'like butter,' used to describe very smooth skin. Founder and lead esthetician Aja Silvas runs the spa, which is set up around individual skin needs rather than one standard facial.

Visits are organized into groups. Express services such as dermaplaning and a light depth peel take about 30 to 45 minutes. Facials run from a 60-minute classic version to a 90-minute Ultra Creamy session, and each one starts with a double cleanse and personalized exfoliation. Clarified Butter is a deep-cleaning facial aimed at breakouts, and Body Butter is a 60-minute back treatment.

Frostings are add-ons that can be added to facial treatments, including extra extractions, LED red or blue light therapy, a dermaplane, an advanced peel, and extra massage or cooling globes. New clients book online by choosing a New Client appointment and completing the intake forms. Online bookings are confirmed right away by email.

A Butter Talk consultation is a 15-minute conversation about skin needs and treatment planning. The $25 fee is credited toward the first service. The Butter Shop is a 30-minute private session with Aja to build a home care plan, and after treatments a customized routine is put together to support ongoing results.

Free parking is available in the DeSales lot behind the building, at Chapel St. and Woodburn Ave. Gift certificates and eGift cards in set amounts or a custom value are available on the website.
